The bit in the red circles is only present in the Noel "Scully"/"Zoot" Simms version (my favourite, see the video), the Heptones and other cuts just have the single note on the E in that bar.

    nice jam, im a bit new to this genre but i like what i hear, i was watching a documentary earlier today called "Rockers" which was shot during the height of roots-rock reggae, anyway pretty sweet film in case u havent seen it
